The Haileybury Explicit Instruction Programme is based on learning theory in educational neuroscience and on international evidence-based best practice.
The Explicit Instruction Theory course provides a set of curated research sources that relate to Explicit Instruction. The sources are not exhaustive. There are many research articles, published over decades in educational research journals, cognitive science journals, by universities, in the educational press and by government education departments in Australia and worldwide, that relate to aspects of Explicit Instruction.
In this course, we will ask you to read and reflect on a set of articles.
