The Haileybury Explicit Instruction Programme is most effective when embedded alongside higher-order thinking and problem-solving.

Higher-order thinking and problem-solving are incorporated across all curriculum areas.  

Bloom’s revised taxonomy is used to support and embed teacher and student questioning that prompts higher-order thinking. Varying questioning through Bloom’s categories of remembering, understanding, applying, analysing, evaluating and creating, facilitates classroom discussion and student thinking to move from factual to more abstract and divergent thinking. This course will support you as you explore these applications.

There assessment for this course will be through a practice paper.

Beyond Primary Teaching is one of the two courses in The Haileybury Explicit Instruction Advanced programme. It is a paid course. You must have completed the courses in the Core programme to take this course.
