MICROCREDENTIALS

Teachers are eligible to be awarded microcredentials if they provide evidence of having met the learning objectives and can evidence the competencies for each course. Credentials for each course are issued on the digital badging platform Badgr.

Teachers who complete courses 1-5 can stack these microcredentials into the Haileybury Explicit Instruction Programme Core Credential by providing a portfolio of video evidence. These reflective video portfolios should be of classroom practice.

Teachers who complete courses 6-7 can stack these microcredentials into the Haileybury Explicit Instruction Programme Advanced Credential by providing two professional practice papers based on their work.

There is no requirement to submit evidence if teachers wish to just study the courses. Teachers can also submit evidence at any time after completing the courses to be awarded the credentials.

FAQ

How do I learn more about the programme?

You can download The Haileybury Explicit Instruction Programme Master Playbook which provides an overview of the programme and how each course relates to the programme as a whole.

Which courses are free, and which are paid?

Some courses in the programme are free and others are paid.

Free courses require you to register for an account before you can access the content.

Paid courses require you to register for an account and pay for access when you decide to enrol in them. Some of the paid courses require you to have completed prerequisite courses as described in the course details above. The prices for the paid courses appear on the details for each course. These may change from time to time.

Our Terms and Conditions describe how we handle issues such as refunds and disputes, but in the first instance please contact us as below if there is anything you wish to discuss.

Will I get face to face support?

The Haileybury Explicit Instruction Programme is designed as online first, meaning that all of the learning can be done through a combination of the playbooks, toolkits and video materials in each course. As the programme evolves we will invite teachers to engage in discussion forums with experienced Haileybury explicit instruction teachers and, depending on the prevailing situation with in-person classes, provide sessions where teachers can watch explicit instruction classes as live streams.

How am I assessed?

Some of the courses in the programme have no formal assessment and ask you to reflect on a series of questions and tell us when you have completed this process. Other courses ask you to provide evidence in the form of videos of classroom practice or written practice papers. Details of how to do this will be in the course materials.

Experienced Haileybury explicit instruction teachers will provide feedback on these assessment materials. We treat these materials as confidential but if we wish to share them (for example with other teachers) we will ask your permission.

Please review our Privacy Policy and Privacy Collection Statement which describe how we deal with the data you provide to us.

Will there be more courses added to the programme?
